Education & Outreach Jeffrey Paradis Rush-Henrietta Senior High School Henrietta, New York January-June 2008 This is my first report for a Spitzer Quarterly and we are still early on in our investigation of NGC 4051. At this point a handful of students from my class have participated in ground based observations of the galaxy using New Mexico Skies as part of an effort to correlate the period of the galaxy with concurrent Spitzer observations. This summer we are meeting at the Spitzer Science Center to begin inter school collaboration. Students and teachers will learn the techniques and software necessary to process the data. The bulk of the work will begin in the fall when classes reconvene and a larger group of my students (approx. 10) will learn the reduction techniques from those who traveled to CA, and analysis will begin. The goal is to present at the January AAS conference.
