NITARP - Acknowledgment Policy

For situations like AAS abstracts or journal articles, it is appropriate to acknowledge the source of funding. (For reference, the professional astronomer page on this is here.) For most projects, though, the funding through NITARP is a little different.

For AAS abstracts, it is appropriate to add something like this to the abstract:

Support provided for this work by the NASA/IPAC Teacher Archive Research Program (NITARP), which receives funding from the NASA ADP program and the IPAC archives.
or perhaps:
This work was conducted as part of the NASA/IPAC Teacher Archive Research Program (NITARP), which receives funding from the NASA ADP program and the IPAC archives.
You get the idea.

For research journal articles, these kinds of things go in the Acknowledgment section. Something similar to the sentence above from the AAS abstract is appropriate.

Funding for NITARP comes from the NASA ADP program and NASA/Archive EPO program.
