Infrared Pencil after being sharpened 
The infrared image of the pencil (right) shows how a pencil tip is heated by
friction after being placed in an electric pencil sharpener. In this image,
you can also see the warm glow at the other (eraser) end where the pencil was
held by a warm hand.
