Mr. Rapp, Beth Thomas, and Lauren Chapple have been making plans for the group's visit to SSC.
They are all currently reading and summarizing articles from the from
the collection of journal articles from Round 1 to get some
insight into infrared spectroscopy and hopefully help us better
understand our data.
Mr. Rapp is giving a regional workshop on Infrared Astronomy and the Spitzer Telescope on March 30 at the Southwest Virignia Higher Education Center. He will be taking about 18 students to the NRAO on March 24-26 to use a radio telescope to try and zero in some of the AGN targets.
They will also do some hands-on activities with Infrared Astronomy.
September 2005:
Mr. Rapp is in the planning phase right now for
two workshops about the Spitzer Space Telescope and Infrared radiation.
One will be local and the other will be at the VA state science teacher's
convention. Both of these workshops will happen in November.
July 2005:
Mr. Rapp is getting ready for workshops in October.
