Round 6 Programs

Round 6 is the third round of this program under the auspices of the NASA/IPAC Teacher Archive Research Program (NITARP). Nineteen teachers were selected in November 2011. Teams were formally created and met in January 2012. Proposals for these teams are due in March 2012. The teams will work through 2012 on their project. The teams will present their results in January 2013.

For this round, all of the teams are doing archival research, using data from the sub-millimeter to the optical.

The teachers are working with scientists from the SSC, as well as with teacher mentors with previous experience in the program. The participating teachers in Round 6 are: Jacqueline Barge (Walter Payton College Prep High School, Chicago, IL), John Blackwell (Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, NH; teacher mentor), Robert Bonadurer (Daniel M.
