Infrared Zoo Gallery - Python

Infrared Python

Pythons are one of the largest group of snakes in the world. They are cold-blooded reptiles and cannot generate their own body heat. Notice in these infrared images how cool it appears compared to the people holding it. Pythons usually need to warm themselves up by basking in the sun before they hunt for food. They are usually found in warm, tropical regions.
