Infrared Scorpion |
| Scorpions are cold-blooded arachnids and have body temperatures close to that of their surroundings. They cannot generate their own heat. This scorpion is being held up by its tail in front of a brave, warm-blooded human. In the infrared images, you can clearly see the dark, cool outline of the scorpion against the bright, warm infrared glow of the person holding it. This scorpion would be very difficult to detect in the infrared unless it was against a warmer or colder background. |
