Infrared is primarily heat radiation and is emitted by anything with a temperature - even objects that we think of as being very cold. As you tour this gallery, you will see what familiar objects look like when viewed through an infrared camera. The scale shown to the right of each image is the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit.
